WBAI Transmitter Fund
Contribution: $5.00

Your contribution will go specifically to the fund set up for listeners to help prevent WBAI radio from complete shutdown. By helping us meet the rising and accumulated costs for our transmitter at the Empire State Building you assure that WBAI will continue on the air.
Our dire circumstances are due to a number of contributing factors:
1) The 2008 economic collapse
2) The devastation from Hurricane Sandy which forced WBAI to leave our downtown
location and move to temporary administrative quarters and broadcast studios.
3) The loss of revenue when our Fall Fund Drive was curtailed because of the Hurricane evacuation.
4) Funds are already needed to establish WBAI in a new permanent location.
